Colours of Impressionism

To continue to build on our understanding of the use of colour in art, today we are going to learn a little more about the colours used by the Impressionists. The painters of the Impressionist Style sought to capture the changing effects of light and colour. Although these artists created remarkable and beautiful images with small splashes of lines and colour, it was done with a strict understanding of colour theory: nothing was accidental.
