My Brother's Garden Part Four

Today, this is the last viewing of this glorious garden for a while ...

I thought you would enjoy seeing some of the creatures that live in this paradise...My brother loves animals and so there are several creatures who make his garden their home. There are the Indian Runner Ducks - two of which have just been born.

There is a very crabby old goose which my brother was asked to look after for a few days about 10 years ago!!!

The aviary is now almost depleted but there was a baby parrot in the nest but as the father had died my brother was worried the mother and baby would also die as she would stay with the baby and not leave the nest to feed herself. I didn't want to disturb the mother so no photo. And you have already seen lots of photos of the green tropical frogs who live in the letterbox.

But the main creature exhibit in the garden is the fish pond which is placed under the pergola at the back door and is filled with Koi fish.

This is a beautifully serene spot and a delightful walk through to start the day from your back door!!!

As you wander around the garden paths and take in the different rooms of tropical plants it is easy to forget that this masterpiece has taken decades of loving and expert work to bring it to this standard.

But it is easy to take time to study up close the amazingly intricate designs Mother Nature has come up with and, of course, in the tropics - dressed in a blaze of colour!!

Apart from the creatures and plants in the garden, my brother has aesthetically placed various Eastern statues, plant containers etc and his private outdoor building structures are all based on Eastern philosophies.

I will leave you with a quote from my mother who always said: "The garden is food for the soul" - and my brother has certainly proved that to be so.
