At One with the Spirit of Nature

Researching the Crazy Horse Memorial prompted me to look for artists who had captured the Spirit of Nature as this seemed like the segue I required. In my search I discovered three female artists that I would like to share with you. The first painting I came across was Eagels and Native American Spirit Riders by American Regina Femrite which appeals to me immensely.

And then I discovered the San Francisco Bay artist Susan Seddon-Boulet who tragically died in 1997. Her style is unique and many of her inspiring paintings demonstrate the connection of nature and mankind. Below is Bear-Woman-Dancing.

And finally I came across the works of Joan White who lives in Lakewood, Wisconsin, a small town in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Joan White paints on wood and her creations are beautiful. This one is titled Hidden Nature.

I have always loved otters even since I was a child and was given a book about a family who had otters at the end of their garden. I think Otter Buddies is just delightful.
