Our last Past Posts featured houses. Today it is the turn of windows. And who doesn't love windows in all their shapes and sizes. As my first post below emphasises: windows allow us to look into the soul of a house.
Windows often change the way we see the world.
And there is no doubt that some windows, especially stained glass windows such as made by Louis Comfort Tiffany, are almost unequaled as works of art.
Appreciating the Soul of Houses: Windows
Windows in houses can tell much about the occupants. We enjoy looking at paintings of windows by Andrew Wyeth, Henri Matisse, Marc Chagall, Adolph von Menzel. The hero image is of the front windows in one of my family homes in Bendigo.
The Perception of the World Through Windows
