Gold Dust
This painting is a reminder of my home territory of Central Victoria and I used the stimulus of the miners' cottages around Castlemaine and Chewton for the idea.
I wanted to experiment with the setting sun against the rain-drenched road and the resulting reflections in the puddles. At the same time, I wanted to create the effect of the countryside covered in "gold dust". I think the end result was okay and I was pleased with what I had achieved.
