For those of you interested in Digital Art and the numerous subsets of artists associated with this creative medium, you might like to know a little more about concept art. Concept art is a form of illustration used to convey an idea for use in films, video games, animation, comic books, or other media before it is put into the final product. (Wikipedia) These artists visualise and create the artwork for the characters, vehicles, environments etc. Once their work is done the modellers, animators and VFX people (Visual Effects Artists) take over. You can read more about this process here.
